About the Doctor
T. Aštrauskas graduated from the Kaunas Medical Institute (now the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences) in 1986 and furthered his knowledge in the fields of plastic and reconstructive microsurgery and burns at the Kaunas Medical University Clinics (now the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Hospital Kaunas Clinics).
During twenty years of work at the Kaunas Medical University Clinics, Dr. Tautrimas Aštrauskas performed more than 2,000 plastic and reconstructive surgeries. At the Kaunas Medical University Clinics, the surgeon worked in his favorite field – breast reconstruction surgery, where he successfully applied not only reconstructive but also aesthetic surgery skills. Since 1992, he has dedicated all his scientific and creative efforts to the development of beauty surgery in Lithuania. After years of success, trials, and accumulated experience, he opened a new specialized clinic in Panemunė, Vičiūnai Street. The doctor also consults in the United Kingdom.
Areas of Interest
Tautrimas Aštrauskas consults on all plastic and reconstructive surgery issues, but he is particularly interested in breast reconstruction surgery and breast augmentation through an incision in the armpit. T. Aštrauskas has mastered the highest level of skill in this technique.
Scientific Activity
In addition to his main clinical work, the doctor has published several rationalization proposals, more than twenty scientific articles, and presentations. The main topic of his scientific work is breast reconstructive surgery.

The doctor is a member of the Lithuanian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a member of the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS), and a member of the European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (ESPRAS).
